With the official retirement of Marc Pingris, the frontline of Magnolia is now down to Ian Sangalang, Calvin Abueva, Rafi Reavis, Aris Dionisio, Jackson Corpuz and Kyle Pascual.
With the age of Reavis and with Abueva and Corpuz being undersized, Magnolia should look for a new player to replace Pingris.
Who should they target in a trade?
#1. Jamie Malonzo
How about calling the ultimate friend of the San Miguel Corporation and asked for their prize draft choice, Malonzo?
Malonzo is in a way, undervalued in the eyes of the fans, so giving up Justin Melton a 1st round pick and Pascual could do the trick.
#2. Beau Belga
According to the rumblings, Rain or Shine wanted Calvin Oftana from NLEX. Magnolia doesn't have a young player with Oftana's pedigree but Dionisio is young and adding a 1st round pick and maybe some 2nd round picks could be enough.
#3 Prince Caperal
I think Caperal is the perfect choice for Magnolia. Ginebra can let him go because Standhardinger will already eat all the available minutes in the frontline next to Japeth Aguilar.
Caperal is a sweet shooter that will stretch the floor for the post scoring of Sangalang and the rampage of Abueva.
