So, after Thirdy Ravena opened the door to the Japan B League, other good amateur players and even PBA players are following the path.
Juan Gomez De Liano decided to sign with a Division 2 team in Japan B League. In a way, a slap to the face of the PBA because Juan decided to go for a Division 2 league, when he can already join the PBA of his home country. Now, new rumors have sprouted.
The newest is that Allyn Bulanadi and Rey Suerte are now being called by the PBA to check with them because they are not currently under contract and they may have a way to play in Japan.
Especially with the reality that they may not be part of Gilas pool, moving forward. Also, without a new contract from their team, it will be against labor if the PBA will not allow them to go and play in Japan B League.
Bulanadi was the Gilas draft pick of Alaska in the 2019 PBA draft, while Suerte was the #2 Gilas draft pick for Blackwater.
Coach Charles Tiu posted on social media that there is another Filipino player who will be playing in Japan soon.
I will not be shocked if it will be Allyn or Rey.
Or maybe, both.
