According to the post, Ginebra approached Rain or Shine about a possible Rey Nambatac trade. Is this logical for Ginebra to do?
Yes!
LA Tenorio is already 36 years old. I will be shocked if LA is still in the PBA by 2024. He has been relying heavily on his athleticism, speed and agility all throughout his career. Science dictates that his body will soon be not good enough.
Is Rey Nambatac the right guy for Ginebra?
I think, yes. Rey is a willing off-the-ball player who can also make plays for others. In the PBA bubble, he manufactured 8.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 25% 3FG per game.
He is a very cerebral player. We saw him knocked multiple crunchtime shots in the PBA bubble. He plays really hard on the court.
So, what could be the package that can get the yes of Rain or Shine?
I think Prince Caperal, Kent Salado and a first round pick can do it.
