Trade rumors continue to pour in and one of the most recent ones involves two teams that we are very familiar with.
Of course, I am talking about Northport Batang Pier and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. Yes, the usual trading partner.
According to the rumor, Ginebra will trade Kent Salado, Jeff Chan and Raymond Aguilar for Robert Bolick.
Now, that is a very one-sided trade to even think about. Salado and Aguilar are end-of-the-bench players. The two of them combined for 32 minutes in the PBA bubble!
And of course, Jeff Chan is already nearer to retirement than another Gilas stint.
What I am trying to say is that that package is pretty obviously not the price for a star young player of the PBA in Bolick.
I think, that reality and knowing that Northport just gifted Standhardinger to Ginebra, are enough reasons to not believe that this is even being negotiated at the table.
But, I do understand if Ginebra wants Bolick because of the impending retirement of LA Tenorio. He is a great fit beside Stanley Pringle and Scottie Thompson.
Not only offensively but defensively.
