It seems like Jio Jalalon does not want to go away from the spotlight this year after being part of a marital issue earlier in the year and with plenty of trade rumors, Jio committed another mistake.
He played in another Ligang Labas. The issue started earlier last week when photos of him circulated. And then he went to commissioner Willie Marcial and admitted that he committed a violation against the Ligang Labas rule and health protocol.
So, Jio was suspended by the league for five-days without pay and P75,000 fine. That is actually lower than the set rule of 10-days suspension.
PBA explained that Jio committed his crime before the approval of the said rule.
This is the 2nd Ligang Labas infraction for Jio. He committed the same violation early last year. Actually, there were several of them who did it.
Now, Jio's image is at the worst point possible. For a franchise that was bannered by the James Yap, Marc Pingris, Alvin Patrimonio and etc. of the PBA, Jio is looking like a misfit.
And Magnolia just drafted a guard that fits their team better. Jerrick Ahanmisi will be a better fit because he is bigger and can shoot consistently.
Combine those things and it seems like it is getting pretty obvious.
Jio will be traded soon. The question is, will Magnolia find a good deal?
