After dangling Alaska Aces and Phoenix Super LPG in the trade rumor mill, PBA on the Go decided to start a new one between Alaska and Rain or Shine.
According to his posts, Alaska will get Rey Nambatac and Rain or Shine will get Kevin Racal. The winner is pretty clear, right?
Rey Nambatac is currently the top scorer of Rain or Shine. He is averaging 12.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steal and 30% FG per game.
Rain or Shine is running a lot of plays for Rey. That is basically the reason why coach Caloy Garcia told the media that Rey will be moving from the point guard position to the shooting guard.
Now, Rey is playing like a legit shooting guard. He was even described by coach Chris Gavina as their Devin Booker.
So, for anyone to suggest that Rain or Shine will accept a guy who is currently injured is laughable. It is like suggesting that Rain or Shine is doing a farm team trade in favor of Alaska.
Actually, even if Alaska adds a 1st to Kevin Racal, it still looks unacceptable because that 1st could be a middle pick.
And I do not think a #5 to #8 pick and Racal is equitable to a young Nambatac.
Nambatac is looking capable of being of the next big 3 of Rain or Shine. They will not give him up, that easily.
