PBA Power Ranking: The Top 10 MVP Candidates! Ginebra's Standhardinger out, Slaughter in!

So, we are down to the last four elimination games that will determine the eight participants of the playoffs of the 2021 PBA Philippine Cup.

How about an updated MVP candidate ranking?

#10 Juami Tiongson
Believe it or not but Terrafirma still has a chance to play in the playoffs and that small chance is enough for me to put Juami into the top 10 because the storyline is just so great.

#9 LA Tenorio
Unfortunately for Ginebra, the Standhardinger acquisition is not working as expected. Fortunately, Tenorio is having a nice season producing 14.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 2.7 three-pointers per game (#3 best in the league).

#8 CJ Perez
As expected, the numbers of CJ with San Miguel is lower than what he did in Terrafirma. But the numbers are still very good.

#7 Greg Slaughter
The storyline is so simple for Gregzilla. If Northport will have a crazy run in the playoffs, Slaughter will be the guy that everyone will point to as the reason for the rise of their franchise,

#6 Chris Newsome
The undisputed leader of one of the top 3 teams in this elimination round. Newsome is manufacturing 12.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 44% FG per game.

#5 Robert Bollick
Bollick is one of the top 3 point guards this season. Robert is the kind of player that will always show-up in the playoffs. So, if they have a deep run, I expect him to be considered for the MVP.

#4 Ian Sangalang
Ian is not the flashiest inside the court but I hope, fans and media will appreciate how good Ian is playing. He is averaging 16.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.

#3 Stanley Pringle
With Standhardinger still struggling, Pringle is no doubt the leader of Ginebra. If Ginebra managed to complete a miracle and have a deep playoff run, Pringle will be a magnificent choice for the MVP.

#2 Mikey Williams
Remember Benjie Paras' Rookie-MVP accomplishment? Mikey is building up a pretty good list of reasons for him to be the second guy to do that.

#1 Calvin Abueva
Calvin played very well last year and he has sustained that this year. Calvin is producing 16.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.3 blocks per game.
