I think every trade between San Miguel Beermen and Terrafirma Dyip had enranged the PBA universe. Remember the Christian Standhardinger trade?
How about the recent CJ Perez deal where San Miguel decided to not give up an Alex Cabagnot but now they are giving him up for a Simon Enciso?
Now, is this deal Cabagnot for Enciso deal, fair?
Yes. Alex is already 38 years old and it is arguable that he is not a starting-caliber guard, anymore. While Enciso is only 30 and very skilled.
SAN MIGUEL
Trading a 38 years old guard for an in-prime and skilled wing in Enciso, is an excellent trade for the Beermen.
Fit wise, there could be some issue because Simon needs the ball to maximize his skillset. Although, he did show in his time in TNT that he can be a role player.
Grade: B
TERRAFIRMA
Terrafirma could benefit from this if Alex will be willing to mentor the young players of the Dyip franchise.
Other than that, we should just wait for the next Alex Cabagnot trade. Is he going to Ginebra or Magnolia?
Grade: D
