Are you enjoying the ongoing 2021 PBA Governors' Cup? Personally, I am. The action is entertaining and almost all of the legit teams are all-in on winning the championship.
So, now that we are having a long break, let us rundown the teams and suggest a trade. By doing this, we should be touching on their weaknesses and what they may need to add to claim the crown.
We will continue with San Miguel, Alaska, Northport and Phoenix.
PHOENIX SUPER LPG - Kent Salado
I think they need someone that can send their pace to another level. Kent could be that guy. Kent is finally getting minutes with Ginebra and he is showing glimpses of a good future. With his young age, Phoenix may even get their point guard of the future.
NORTHPORT BATANG PIER - Jayvee Casio
Northport has arguably the best playmaking point guard in the league, in Robert Bollick. Unfortunately, the back-ups of Robert are actually not that good at distributing the ball. So, how about a proven veteran in Casio as his back-up?
ALASKA ACES - Prince Caperal
Defensively, Alaska is one of the top teams in this tournament. Their problem is their offense. They badly lack spacing that makes their offense easy to defend. So, adding a bigman who can stretch the floor like Prince, could be a perfect match for them.
SAN MIGUEL BEERMEN - Arwind Santos
Vic Manuel is having a good tournament with San Miguel. The issue is, San Miguel is not looking like a legit contender. What they look like is a team with a roster that does not mesh pretty well. How about finding a way to get back Santos? The guy that can surely make it work because of his unicorn skillset?
