Are you enjoying the ongoing 2021 PBA Governors' Cup? Personally, I am. The action is entertaining and almost all of the legit teams are all-in on winning the championship.
So, now that we are having a long break, let us rundown the teams and suggest a trade. By doing this, we should be touching on their weaknesses and what they may need to add to claim the crown.
We will end this series with Ginebra, TNT, Terrafirma and Blackwater.
Blackwater - Kent Salado
Assuming that Blackwater finally saw the light and stop being a farm team, what they should do is to find the undervalued young talents in the league. I think Kent is a good target as he is beginning to show that he can be a starting point guard in the PBA.
Terrafirma - Troy Rike
Same scenario as Blackwater. Let us assume that they have decided that the James Laput trade will be their final farm team transaction. Trying to trade for Rike could be an excellent move for them because Rike is arguably the most underrated rookie in the league.
TNT - Chris Banchero
With the signing of Gab Banal and another trade victory with their Carl Bryan Cruz acquisition, trading some of their veterans for a star talent like Chris could be an excellent decision. Knowing the age of Jayson Castro, Banchero could be his replacement.
Ginebra - Marcio Lassiter
Ginebra is having an acceptable result from beyond the arc in their first four games. Nevertheless, I still think that improving their outside shooting is the key in making Ginebra a much better squad. So, how about Marcio? He is considered to be one of the top shooters in the league.
