PBA Trade Rumors: Ginebra wants to trade for a shooter?

 

There is a fresh rumor about Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, searching for a shooter through trade discussions.

This is something that is logical for them to do because they are currently averaging the 5th least number of three-pointers made per game.

So, who could be their targets? I check the numbers to see potential targets.

Terrafirma - Roosevelt Adams
Actually, Adams is already a Restricted Free Agent. When we say Restricted, it means that the contract that Adams will sign with another team can be matched by Terrafirma. So that Adams will remain with the franchise.

So, the potential resolution is a trade. And Adams is playing pretty well as a shooter.

Rain or Shine - Jayvee Mocon
Ginebra has the assets and players to trade for Mocon. Mocon is currently shooting 46% from beyond the arc and 2.4 three-pointers per game.

Mocon can play that small forward spot for Ginebra. What Ginebra can offer could be a package of picks plus most of their young guys or Prince Caperal.

Blackwater - Baser Amer
Baser had a disappointing Philippine Cup but he is having a bounce back in the ongoing tournament. Being a point guard, he will also help in eating up the minutes left by Stanley Pringle.
