In the past few weeks, Beau Belga is one of the hottest names in the trade rumor mill. I think, it is not a coincidence that it was a few weeks after his wife made accusations against him.
The first rumor was a trade to the MVP camp. Like, Rain or Shine wants Calvin Oftana from NLEX Road Warriors.
We have a new one but on the other side of the fence.
According to PBA on the Go, the hottest source of rumors in the PBA this year, Terrafirma and Rain or Shine are cooking a trade.
According to him, Rain or Shine will be trading Beau Belga, Anton Asistio and Vince Tolentino for Alex Cabagnot, Andrei Cahilig, Kyle Pascual and 2nd round pick.
The two biggest names involved should be compared. Belga and Cabagnot are the superstars here and I think it is pretty clear that Belga has a much higher value. He is a bigman who can shoot and make plays for others.
On the other hand, Alex Cabagnot just got a very bad injury and he is nearer to his retirement than that of Belga.
So, in my eyes, Belga has a much higher trade value. Now, Kyle Pascual is a bench bigman and Cahilig is a promising wingman but not really a blue-chip.
Overall, it is hard for me to see that this is a fair one.
