There is denying that Robert Jaworski made Barangay Ginebra the most popular ballclub in the country after the departure of Crispa and Toyota.
How did he do it? It was simply by having the biggest heart every time he enters the court. Millions of Filipinos appreciated it and fell in love with him and his team.
Barangay Ginebra maintained its popularity even after the departure of Jaworski with the quality of its product and proper marketing ploys.
Nevertheless, the team has never found a player that they can anoint as the second coming of Robert Jaworski.
Until Scottie Thompson arrived. For me, Scottie clearly embodies his hardworking, never-say-die, attitude of Robert.
