I am pretty sure nobody anticipated that the game 6 of the PBA finals will be postponed. Did that ever happen in the past?
Fortunately, tonight we will be having game 6 of this Finals between Ginebra versus Meralco.
And they just announced that game 7 will happen in the Philippine Arena by Sunday. Yes, the biggest indoor arena in the world.
And yes, the last two PBA teams that played there are also Barangay Ginebra and Meralco Bolts. Easily the hottest rivalry in the last few years.
And I am willing to claim it already that we will see a game 7.
If this is a movie, then this conference deserves Finale in the biggest Arena possible. It just makes perfect sense, business-wise.
For it not to happen could mean losing millions in profit for the PBA. And knowing that this is as close as possible to a business, expecting a game 7 is logical.
Also, this rivalry between the Kings and the Bolts deserves a game 7. It will be an opportunity for Ginebra to showcase its dominance. While Meralco will get a chance for redemption in front of the biggest crowd possible.
And it is just hard to see the Bolts losing three straight games in a playoff. That could mean the end of coach Norman's tenure.
