There is no denying that Converge Fiber Xers are the hottest team in the news mill right now, other than the two Finalists of the Governors' Cup.
According to a recent interview by the Governor of the franchise, they are currently in trade negotiation with four teams.
No hint was given but knowing the decision of TNT of allowing them to participate, they are an easy possibility here.
And according to PBA on the Go, one of the current potential trades is JP Erram for the #3 pick. That means Converge will give up on getting a Jason Brickman or Sedric Barefield or Mikh McKinney or Jeremiah Gray.
Is that worth it for Converge?
If Abu Tratter pushes with his rumored plan of playing in Japan B League, Converge will be left with a huge need in their Frontline.
So, JP Erram is a need for Converge. Add the fact that he can stretch the floor and JP is the perfect center for Fiber Xers.
The biggest issue is his age and the reality that any trade with TNT will be taken as a farm team deal by the fans.
I do not think Converge will clearly win the deal. So, I do not think that it is right for them to push for this.
