Meralco Bolts will get their fourth shot to win the Governors' Cup championship against Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.
One of the biggest weapons of Meralco in this tournament is their depth. But with their deep in quantity, there are players who are not getting that much opportunity.
One of them is Mac and according to a rumor, Meralco may be looking to trade him after this Governors Cup.
So, which teams should try to trade for him?
San Miguel
The position that San Miguel badly needs is the forward and Belo is one of the most versatile forwards in the league.
I think, he will be a fine fit with a twin bigman combo in Junemar Fajardo and Vic Manuel. He can create for them. Shoot and help them on defense.
Phoenix
Phoenix is the team that is trying to build a modern team of versatile forwards. So, Belo will be an excellent fit there. Just imagine a five man line-up of Matthew Wright-Nic Demusis-Mac Belo-Sean Anthony-Jason Perkins.
I hope Phoenix will continue this build up because it is not only unique. I can see it to be a good roster construction.
Who will SMB trade for Belo?
ReplyDeleteI don't think SMB will transact with Meralco, SMB is too greedy to let go of any of their talents. What they want is to just load up and not unload, that is why they are sinking.
As for Phoenix, I think the only asset that they could offer to Meralco is Perkins, because Wright might not sign with the team anymore.
So the roster combinations you suggested are all irrelevant.
It would be nicer when you write a trade article to actually have a realistic trade senario.
