Remember the Ray Parks Jr. fiasco? Ray suddenly seek a leave of absence and then all hell broke loose. Even Manny V. Pangilinan was involved!
I did not judge the management of TNT during that time because it was the first time to see such an unresolved problem.
That debacle prompted TNT to find a replacement and they found Mikey Williams. Mikey led them to a championship.
That success gave Mikey the right to exercise an option in his contract to renegotiate.
Looking at it now though, Mikey and his team may have misread their power because I agree with what was written in the article of Homer Sayson, it only gave Mikey the right to renegotiate, not the right top stop honoring the contract and not play.
Nevertheless, if TNT already is leaking information to the media, then a resolution could be harder to reach now. The image of Mikey is already damaged with the rumor by Homer. Also, Mikey's relationship with TNT management and teammates may have deteriorated already.
Here is the clearest conclusion from what is happening in TNT. SMC is not only dominating the MVP group inside the hard court. Even outside of it, SMC is winning by a wide margin against the MVP group.
And yet, we seldom hear the MVP group make big changes in their management team.
Is the truth above not that obvious enough?
