You can easily spot a trade of two teams who are trying to win for their team. Not the usual farm team deals of the farm teams.
So, Rain or Shine and Phoenix submitted a trade wherein Phoenix will get the Javee Mocon. While Rain or Shine will get a package of a 2023 PHX 1st, 2024 PHX 2nd and Nic Demusis.
Is this a fair trade? Yes!
The first round pick should cover 70% of Javee's value. Nic Demusis and the 2nd round pick can comfortably handle the 30%.
TEAM ANALYSIS
Rain or Shine
They do not have the budget to keep Javee. So, getting a package of assets for the future is the right way to go. Rain or Shine won their first game but their talent level is still worse than last year. There is even a chance that this is all part of the plan, anticipating the next draft to be a loaded one. With the extra PHX 1st, Rain or Shine is on a good position to win the next draft.

Phoenix
This is a very interesting deal by Phoenix. With all the rumors of Wright potentially leaving the franchise by the end of the Conference, they suddenly double-down and grab a young stud in Mocon.
I will not be shocked if they are also trying to show to Wright that they are still serious about this. If this will help Wright to remain, then this is an excellent deal for Phoenix
Overall though, I am intrigue to see a five of Serrano-Wright-Mocon-Perkins-Anthony.
The versatility and skill level will be off-the-chart.
