We are finally starting our 2022-2023 season of the Philippine Basketball Association. This Philippine Cup is arguably the most crucial tournament ever.
So, I expect the teams to be active on the trade table. So, here are my best prediction of the next player to be traded by each team.
Today, we will continue with the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, Blackwater Elite, Terrafirma Dyip and Phoenix Super LPG.
BGSM - Aljon Mariano
Ginebra's three-point shooting is still a problem for Ginebra. So, I think Mariano is still the best candidate for Ginebra knowing that his shooting is not there. Add his name recognition value and Mariano can easily be a part of a trade for a much bigger name.
Prince Caperal was also an option here but we all know that he is a stretch big. Also, Mariano has a rumored issue with Scottie Thompson, the new face of Ginebra.
Blackwater- Jvee Casio
Casio led Blackwater in their first win this conference and believe it or not, they are currently undefeated. If Casio continue to show that he is still a good guard, I expect teams that are in need of quality point guard play to try and poach him from Blackwater.
Terrafirma - Joseph Gabayni
Instead of the #1 pick Isaac Go, Gabayni got the starting nod for Terrafirma in their first game. Joseph delivered and he looks like a capable bigman out there. Bigs are still the most important position in the league. Thus, if Gabayni continue to improve his stock, Terrafirma will have an easier time to sell him, in comparison to their other "products".
Phoenix - Sean Anthony
Anthony has a pretty high salary for a player that is having a hard time getting an opportunity to be on the court. Also, Phoenix rotation seems deep enough to handle an Anthony trade.
