2023 PBA Mock Draft 2.0: Ginebra should target a point guard!

Here is our updated mock draft! Just take note that the order was from the standings of last week.

1 DYIP One of Ramos/Paras/Baltazar/Thirdy -  I still believed that one of the four eligible blue chip amateur players will finally join the PBA next year. That guy will surely be the face of the draft.

2 ROS Remy Martin - He is one of the four aspirants in the recent NBA draft with Filipino blood. He was not drafted. With what happened to Sedrick Barefield, I am hoping the same can be done with Martin.

3 ROS Zavier Lucero - Lucero has gotten his offer too from International league. He has not signed. So, the chance that he will join this upcoming draft is still there. He can be a smaller version of Malonzo.

4 NLEX Sedric Barefield - He was not allowed to join the 2022 draft but I have not heard that he has signed with other league at this point. So, I am still hopeful that he can be in the PBA next season.

5 NOR Will Gozum - Right now, Gozum is the most realistic best bigman that will join this draft. Gozum can be a good partner to JM Calma because he is a good bruiser who moves well.

6 MAG Lawrence Domingo - Call it the last time that we will anticipate Domingo to join the draft. Domingo has the athleticism and grit to become a good player in the PBA.

7 MER Brandon Bates - Another center that we are hoping to join the draft. Bates has the size to become a relevant center in the PBA. Bolts is also in need of a giant who can be part of their frontline rotation

8 NLEX Warren Bonifacio - He is the leader of the 2022 NCAA finalist, Mapua Cardinals. He is undersized for a bigman but that will not be an issue for coach Guiao.

9 BWE Deschon Winston - With the expectation of a very deep guard draft, Winston can slide to the lower half of the draft. Elite who is making a surprising run right now can benefit of that.

10 BWE BJ Andrade - Andrade was supposed to join this draft but did not push through. I expect him to get a bigger role in the next season of UAAP. His defense is his calling card and with more minutes, his numbers should be better.

11 DYIP CJ Lane - The unknown center that we are anticipating to join the upcoming draft. He is 6'10 and he was supposed to be training his handling. With his size alone, he can be something.

12 BGSM Frank Yu - Frank was not that news worthy last season because of the impressive showing of Rhenz Abando. Nevertheless, he is still a very good point guard who has the capacity to become the next starting PG of Ginebra.
