You can asked coach Chito about it. Magnolia is the most consistent defensive unit in the last five years of the league and there coach is more than honest to say that they cannot stop Mikey.
Now, Ginebra fans having nothing to watch and started an interesting debate. They are arguing that Mikey is just the second coming of Stanley Pringle and even some are stating that Stanley was better.
Is this true?
Number wise, it is pretty clear that Mikey was the better scorer. Mikey has two tournaments already with 20 or more points per game. Stanley only has one in his career.
It is also clear that Mikey is the better three-point shooter. Mikey is averaging more than 3.3 three-pointers made per game in his entire PBA career. Stanley never reached that level in one tournament.
After the scoring, all the other usual areas are up for discussion. Both are good rebounding guards and capable of making plays for others.
Although, if we look back at what they have accomplished so far, Mikey may have the upper hand. Mikey led his team to a Philippine Cup crown last year.
Stanley was the top scorer of Ginebra last year and they did not even reach the semifinals.
