If you are a fan of the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. I am pretty sure that you are already aware about the trade rumor bomb from Homer Sayson.
According to Homer, Ginebra is now on the process of coming up with a package that will satisfy Phoenix to give up the face of their franchise.
In the said article, Homer noted that in less than three weeks, Matthew will become a free agent but he will be a restricted free agent. So, only a trade is possible.
Knowing Phoenix, they are not a farm team. They are truly an independent team who are battling in the league with a financial capacity that is way lower than the big boys.
So, a farm team trade can be out of the possibility for Ginebra. What they can come up with is a trade that will be a win for them if you look into it, deeply.
The question now is, who are the guys that Ginebra is willing to give up just to get the in-prime Matthew Wright? Again, Wright is the type of player who can be a perfect fit for Ginebra.
I am pretty sure Japeth Aguilar, Scottie Thompson and Christian Standhardinger will never be considered for a Matthew trade.
So, are Stanley Pringle, LA Tenorio and Arvin Tolentino the guys that Phoenix can ask for and Ginebra will say yes?
