Here are the top 5 upcoming Unrestricted Free Agents!
According to the rules, the next one is the 2015 PBA draft. And actually, the biggest name there is Scottie Thompson but Scottie is already signed to a contract that will last beyond this year. So, he will not become a UFA, yet.
#5 Aljon Mariano
I think a lot of people has forgotten about Aljon Mariano. He is not a modern player and that makes it hard for him to fit alongside the non-modern core of Ginebra. Nevertheless, Aljon is still an elite defender who has a knack for scoring the basket.
#4 Maverick Ahanmisi
Maverick is having a renaissance of sort with the Converge Fiber Xers. He is currently manufacturing 11.1 points, 42% FG, 5.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Those are clean numbers for a big guard like Maverick.
#3 Chris Newsome
The case of Chris will be very interesting. We have not heard him say any negative things about Meralco Bolts franchise. But, we have not heard him talk about a desire to remain with the franchise for a much longer period of time.

#2 Don Trollano
Trollano found a way to breakout in the PBA. I am a big fan of the development of the game of Don. From a role player to a legit PBA starter. That type of growth should aspire a lot of role players in the league today that there is a way to become a starter. They just need to keep developing their game.

#1 Moala Tautuaa
Moala is my number 1 upcoming free agent because I think out of the top 3, he is the most likely to change team. He is stuck in his back-up role in San Miguel. I think he is still a PBA starter and giants like him should get into a team that will give him as much minutes as possible.
