It should be logical to say that the three teams that are running the PBA right now are the TNT Tropang Giga, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and San Miguel Beermen.
Those three teams are currently struggling after a month of competition in this 2022 Commissioner's Cup. None of them are above 0.500.
The question now is, which one is on the biggest trouble? Let me rank them.
#3 Barangay Ginebra
The biggest issue right now of Ginebra is their scoring. Ginebra is currently last in terms of points per game! Yes! A team with Christian Standhardinger, Stanley Pringle, Scottie Thompson, LA Tenorio and Japeth Aguilar is dead last in putting points to the scoreboard!
But, I will put them as the last one in terms of trouble because of what they showed against Bay Area Dragons. Their defense is still high quality. It can be so good that they can defeat the most talented team, easily.
#2 TNT Tropang Giga
The biggest issue right now for TNT is the sudden erosion of the production of Mikey Williams. He is down to 14.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 37% FG per game. Also Cameron Oliver is not as dominant for an import that they want to naturalize for our national team.
#1 San Miguel Beermen
They have two big problem. Their import situation is not stable. They just replaced an NBA veteran with a veteran International league player. What if Devon Scott is still not the guy? Junemar Fajardo is out until the playoffs. Can they survive without their Kraken?
