I am pretty sure you already read about the juicy rumor about the upcoming potential shake-up in the Philippine Basketball Association.
According to the rumor, there are three teams who are on sale. Previously, only Phoenix Super LPG was reported.
So, how about ranking the three teams on how likely that they want to be sold?
#3 NLEX
This rumor started after the first report of the three team trade between NLEX, Blackwater and TNT. It states that MVP group could be looking to sell NLEX due to a reason that was not clearly disclosed.
But thinking about it, I think the only acceptable reason is to reduce cost. And is that really enough?
#2 Northport
Out of the three teams, Northport is the one that I really want to happen. They are a farm team and if they got bought by a legit team, that will surely improve the PBA. Although, there is a good chance that they are only testing the market. But if the rumor that four companies are interested, selling now could be a good decision.
#1. Phoenix
Phoenix is almost a done deal at this point. We have not heard about any positive news regarding the financial situation of Phoenix company. So, it will be hard to expect anything else other than a sale.
