What was thought to be an easy accept for Northport suddenly turned out to be just the beginning of the negotiation.
A Facebook page called PBA Insider News provided an update that Northport is now offering JM Calma, Kevin Ferrer and Jerrick Balanza for Tyrus Hill and Jeo Ambohot.
Allyn Bulanadi is now out of the trade. That means Northport wanted Jeo Ambohot so badlly that they will add Calma and will remove Allyn from the trade?
That is kind of strange because that means the trade is now clearly in favor of Converge. With what we have seen in their first tournaments, I do not think Ambohot is the clear better prospect.
I mean, even if Ambohot is better than around 20%, having Balanza there can easily cover for that and more. And then the remaining trade value from Balanza can clearly cover for the difference between Hill and Kevin Ferrer.
Although, it is actually undestandable to me if Northport wants to aim for Jeo Ambohot because he is a Letran Knights alumni and he was under Northport's GM, coach Bonnie Tan.
If this is true, I think Converge should accept right, as soon as possible.
