Remember the 2022 PBA draft? Converge was holding the #3 and #4 pick. They used both picks to get two NCAA star bigman.
The #3 pick was Jeo Ambohot. The #4 was Justin Arana.
In the first four games under coach Aldin Ayo, it was the #4 pick who got more trust. Jeo averaged less than 5 minutes per game while Justin is playing more than 20 minutes per game.
So, some social media pages are hinting that Converge may have put Ambohot on the trade block! The reality is, it is not.
In the Commissioner's Cup, the import usually get 40 minutes of playing time. The frontline consist of two positions with 48 minutes each. That means the two positions will have 96 minutes in total.
For the locals, around 56 minutes will remain. For Converge, Arana already received around 22 minutes of that and Abu Tratter, who is clearly a better player than Jeo right now, is getting 25 minutes. That will leave around 10 minutes to spare.
This is the reason why I do not think Jeo is on the trade block. I also believe that the guy deserves some patience. His body is still developing and he is only 25 years old.
