I am pretty sure that there are San Miguel Beermen fans out there who are now salivating with the potential of acquiring Robert Bolick from Northport Batang Pier.
This is after the revelation from Snow Badua that they are one of the two teams who are discussing with Northport.
By the way, Snow Badua is still the number 1 source of PBA rumors. If you want the best and legit rumors, you better follow him!
Here was the package being offered by San Miguel. Simon Enciso and Paul Zamar.
That package is unacceptable. There is no way that a multiple season MVP candidate. A multiple tournament scoring leader. A multiple tournament assist leader is equivalent to a 6th man at best and an end of the bench player.
No disrespect to Paul Zamar and Simon Enciso but they have not built their trade value to deserve a Robert Bolick.
The usual defense of blinded fans about trades like this is that the players in the package were not just given enough opportunity.
That is not the case for Simon. Simon has multiple tournaments with 30 or more minutes. His highest scoring average was 13.7 points.
In the last five tournaments of Robert, he averaged more than 17 points per game. We are only talking about scoring here. Do we need to talk about his playmaking and the overall impact of his shooting prowess?
Add the fact that we are talking about a 27 years old superstar here being trade for 31 and 35 years old veterans and there is no angle to look here that you can justify this trade.
