Although, the way it was written by the reporters in the past few days, I think the negotiation happened. But with this recent denial, the trade may not be pushing through, for the mean time.
One more rumor though was put into the spotlight, recently. According to the rumor, Magnolia is interested in Justin Arana of Converge.
That is very interesting because Magnolia has reasons to try and trade for a young bigman. Actually, they drafted a bigman in Keith Zaldivar but he is not getting any minutes.
Arana will be different because he was a high pick in the most recent draft. He is also very young at 23 years old and he is already putting up good numbers in this commissioner's Cup.
He is currently averaging 13.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2 blocks per game. He is not really a giant but people are raving about his strength.
I do not think Converge should trade him to Magnolia unless it is a pretty clear win for them. Like a package of James Laput, Mark Barroca and a 2nd round pick.
