PBA Mock Draft: Ginebra signed the next Cliff Hodge?

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is not only making big acquisitions on their 5x5 team. They are also doing it on their 3x3 as they just signed Caelan Tiongson.

Unfortunately, competing teams are still questioning the eligibility of Caelan because of his Philippine passport. So, he will not play right away for them.

Of course, he still need to enter the PBA draft before he can play in the 5x5. In short, there is no assurance that Ginebra will get him.

But is this the sign that he is their target in the next PBA draft?

Maybe. But in terms of fit, I do not think he should be the guy for Ginebra. In his recent stint in Taiwan, Caelan produced 13.5 points, 44% FG, 9.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steal and 3.2 fouls per game.

He is a traditional hardworking forward. To better visualize, he plays like a lite version of Rudy Hatfield but with more good skills. He has some similarity too to Cliff Hodge of Meralco.

I am not really sure Ginebra is really in need of that type because Scottie is already there. Standhardinger and Aguilar are also hardworking athletes.

Then add his inconsistent outside shot and his fit with Ginebra is really questionable to me.
