PBA Rumors: Another PBA franchise on SALE?

We can already call 2022 as the year of the PBA franchise sale. Of course, it all started with the acquisition of Converge Fiber Xers of the Alaska Aces franchise.

After that, the rumblings about the future of the other franchises increased. Phoenix was a dominant part of this. NLEX was the next one. And then we also heard about the Meralco Bolts. Of course, Northport Batang Pier was also cited.

Now, add Rain or Shine Elasto Painters into the list. And with this one, the source comes from the most reliable guy, Snow Badua.

In the said social media post, Snow Badua hinted about a franchise that is planning to leave the league by 2023 to 2024. The hints are; they have a superb coach. A good young line-up. And a former face of the PBA in their line-up.

Of course, the team that is perfect for those hints is Rain or Shine. Coach Yeng Guiao is a sureball Hall-of-Famer coach. They have a lot of good young players. They have James Yap.

I hope it is not true. Rain or Shine has blazed their path to maintaining a playoff quality team even with a big disadvantage in terms of financial capacity.

They even showed that they can keep some of the stars that they have. They managed to overcome losing their main guys because of money.

But, I will not blame them if they want to depart from the league. Playing in a league where there are rules that should have kept the balance of playing-field but are not being followed, is like a suicide.
