We are less than a month away from the end of the 2023 PBA Governors' Cup. And this elimination round has been very entertaining!
That is the result if almost every team wants to win! The top 2 spots is still not determined. The eight entrants to the playoffs is still up on the air. So, teams will be looking to make deals.
So, we decided to check every team and provide the best trade target for them!
Phoenix - Modern Bigman
I think Phoenix will be the team that can unlock the ultimate version of Moala Tautuaa. They are the ones who wants to take the risk and go full-throttle modern offense. And I think that is what Moala needs for us to finally see his best version.
Blackwater - Scorer
Blackwater only have one player averaging in double digits in points. He is RK Ilagan and it is even at 10.0. They badly need a scorer. Someone who can consistently pressure the defense. Their are a lot of scorers in the trade rumor mill. They have the pick to trade and get Paul Lee.
Terrafirma - Hidden gems
They do not need to tank. They are almost assured of the #1 pick. They do not really have a semblance of a team that can compete in the next two to three years. So, if they are serious about things, the best thing that they need to do is to find the best hidden gems in the league.
Ginebra - Bigman
With the injury to Japeth Aguilar and with the reality that Christian Standhardinger is also prone to injury, Ginebra should try to get another bigman. Of course, they do not need to get a starting caliber. I think Joseph Gabayni of Terrafirma is the perfect guy for them. He can defend the giant and knows what to do on offense.
