We are not yet in the off-season but trade rumors are already romping up! Fortunately, PBA have a good number of insiders that we can entrust upon.
The newest one is about Troy Rosario that I once saw as a potential top 5 player in the league. At this point of his career, it is hard to see him reaching that level already.
Nevertheless, he is still a starting caliber player who is only 31 years old. Now that he is done with his surgery, he could be healthy moving forward.
If he is now on the trade block, which three teams should try hard to trade for him?
San Miguel
I have been consistent about the need of San Miguel of a forward. Rosario, at 6'7, can do that. He is a very nimble and strong bigman that he is more than capable of playing the 3 and 4 position. He is also an excellent running mate for Junemar Fajardo because of his three point shot.
Meralco
Meralco was actually the first team that was linked to Rosario. I actually love the fit there. Outside shooting is an issue for that team and Troy will be a big help. He will also be an excellent fit in the versatile defense that Meralco does.
Converge
I am really amazed that Converge is putting up the most three-point shooting crazy squad in the league even without a legit modern bigman. I can just imagine the level that they can reach if they can add one.
