Arvin Tolentino's recent Instagram post featuring pictures of his current team, the Northport Batang Pier, has sparked speculations about his future in the PBA. The pictures he chose were from Northport's game against his former team, Barangay Ginebra, and the caption he added included two hourglass emojis, adding to the intrigue.
Some of Tolentino's followers believe that the hourglass emojis may signify that his time with Northport is running out, and he may soon return to Ginebra. The post has since garnered attention from netizens who are closely following Tolentino's social media activities, prompting discussions about his next move in the PBA.
Tolentino started his PBA career with Ginebra in 2019 and played for the team for two seasons before being traded to Northport in March 2021. The forward has been a vital player for Northport, but his recent post has left many wondering if he is planning to make a comeback to his former team.
As of now, Tolentino has not made any official statements regarding his plans for the future. However, his Instagram post has certainly piqued the interest of many PBA fans, who are eagerly waiting to see what his next move will be.
The way we see it, it is more logical to assume that Arvin is actually pushing for a trade. So, here are the top 3 teams that we think should try to trade for him!
#3 Meralco
Meralco coach Norman Black was jealous about what Ginebra did last year. How about trying to do it too by inquiring about Arvin and if they can give the asking price? I think Meralco has the roster to come up with a package to get Arvin. And Meralco is the 2nd worst three-point shooting team in terms of made per game last Governors' Cup.
#2 Barangay Ginebra
Ginebra was not one of the worst three-point shooting team in the Governors' Cup with Justin Brownlee there to lead the way. Nevertheless, I think in the Philippine Cup, they will need another respectable shooter to keep the right amount of space.
#1 San Miguel
San Miguel was last place in terms of three-pointers made per game in the Governors' Cup. They were 4th in the Commissioner's Cup and 3rd in the Philippine Cup. So, San Miguel is one of the consistent non-reliant on three-point shooting. Even though Fajardo badly needs it.
