It seems like that is happening right now as the flagship franchise of the San Miguel Corporation has entered the negotiation table according to Snow Badua.
Again, Snow Badua is easily the most reliable insider in the league. And it is quite logical for San Miguel to make an offer for Maverick.
According to Snow, San Miguel is targeting Maverick as a potential replacement for Chris Ross who is very near to his retirement already.
Although, Snow also said that San Miguel is not willing to go beyond P500,000 that they usually offer to players who are not yet part of the cream of the crop in the league.
Fans are questioning now though if Maverick can really fit in San Miguel. With him there, CJ Perez, Jericho Cruz, Terrence Romeo and Simon Enciso, San Miguel has a lot of players who need the ball majority of the times to maximize their talent.
And I actually think that the question of the fans is valid. I do not think Maverick will be an excellent fit in San Miguel.
