According to some insiders, Converge is really all-in in getting Justine Baltazar. Good thing for them, his hype in the past few months is trending down.
We are actually anticipating a few blue-chip prospects in this upcoming draft and that could mean that Baltazar could be available after the #1 pick.
So, Converge should also try to prepare a package for the #2 pick of the Blackwater Elite.
What could be the perfect, realistic and bad offer that they can make?
Perfect - #9 and #10 pick
When we say the perfect trade, we are looking for the best possible thing. And for Converge, that could be the #9 and #10 pick. This deal should be acceptable for the PBA trade committee knowing that they accepted the #8 and #13 pick for the #2 pick, Jeremiah Gray, last year.
Realistic - #9 pick, #14 pick, Jeo Ambohot
Realistically, I can see Converge used Jeo as the main bait even though he did not show-up that much in his rookie season. He is still very young and the high potential is still there. Add the #14 pick or the #2 pick of the 2nd round and I think we have a good trade here.
Worst - Justin Arana
I think the worst possibility is Converge being forced to give up Arana. I think Converge can be pushed to give up Justin because in the eyes of the management of Converge, Baltazar is more important. That will be a big hit because Arana is really looking like the next big thing.
