NorthPort Batang Pier coach Bonnie Tan is looking to Joshua Munzon to fill the void left by Robert Bolick. Although the void is quite huge
Bolick, who was the Batang Pier's leading scorer last season, has signed with the Fukushima Firebirds of the Japanese B.League. Tan is hoping that Munzon, who was the top overall pick in the 2020 PBA draft, can step up and become NorthPort's go-to scorer.
Munzon had a slow start to the pre-season, averaging just 9.6 points, 29% FG and 7% 3FG in his first two games.
#3 Magnolia
I cannot remember a trade between Magnolia and Northport recently. That alone is enough for us to conclude that a trade with Northport may not be happening anytime soon.
#2 Northport
Northport is in need of a known figure in their squad. Munzon can be that guy. If he successfully take the mantel from Bolick then he may need to stay their for a while.
#1. San Miguel
The fit is poor but San Miguel values talent over fit. We can feel already that San Miguel will make a big move. I am pretty sure Munzon is considered.
