He stressed that it's crucial for everyone to rally behind the team and contribute in any way they can to help them achieve their goals, emphasizing that accountability should be shared if support is lacking.
Baldwin, who arrived at the Philippine Arena with the Ateneo Blue Eagles, showed empathy for current Gilas coach Chot Reyes and the team, acknowledging the unique challenges they've confronted during their preparation.
Despite the obstacles, Baldwin believes that Reyes has assembled a capable team and that they are poised to perform well in the tournament. However, he acknowledged the fierce competition and the tough road ahead for the team.
And now they just got defeated in a close game and fans are throwing the heat to coach Chot Reyes. I understand where coach Tab is coming from.
But this 2023 FIBA World Cup is not the penultimate tournament. Our lives or our country is not on the line. On the other hand, everyone recognizes that SBP is a shaky organization who failed to come up with a pristine preparation for this 2023 FIBA World Cup.
So, putting the heat on the coaching staff is not really about this one. It is about the future. And the future could be brighter if we will have a new guy on town.
I mean, the other coach in this article looks very capable of doing it.
