Bigman is still the most important position in the PBA. So, the bigs will be the most values again. Let me give my top 10 centers that could join the league this year though the draft.
1. Justine Baltazar - He is dominating MPBL. If he can do that to the MPBL, he can be an MVP candidate and be the face of Converge.
2. Kamaka Hepa - his potential could be higher than Justine. He is long and capable shooter. We all know the importance of that type of bigman.
3. Justice De Corsi - Another Fil-Foreigner who could be a starter right away. He looks like a less athletic Keith Datu.
4. CJ Lane - die hard PBA draft afficionados have been waiting for Lane for a while now. They say he started as a PG.
5. Kai Ballungay - He was not that dominant in the UAAP. But if bench warmers of Ateneo can become stars in the PBA, how about someone who led them in scoring?
6. Geo Chiu - The back-up of Kai. With his size and basketball IQ, I can see him finding a place in the league.
7. Ben Philips - Athletic center like Ben has a good path to a long career in the PBA. He may never become starting caliber but frontline depth is crucial.
8. Will Gozum - He should be higher in this ranking if he is not injured. He is an NCAA MVP. So, his skill level is high.
9. Caelan Tiongson - Too old to expect a high impact when he joins the league. Let us see how he perform in Strong Group. By the way, he was once scheduled to play for the 3x3 of Ginebra.
10. Brandon Ramirez - an intriguing underize bigman. He is skilled and knows how to help an offense thrived.
