PBA Trade Rumors: San Miguel should add another superstar, right?

We all know how San Miguel operates. They just felt short of winning another Philippine Cup championship and, let us be honest, nobody expected them to loss to Meralco.

Now, fans are expecting them to do the thing that they always do. They will look to add another superstar through the teams that they usually trade with.

Is that really the solution though? If we look at their current roster construction, I do not think they have a clear weakness.

Even if we consider Vic Manuel to leave soon, they will still have one of the strongest frontline in Junemar Fajardo, Moala Tautuaa and Rodney Brondial. Shooting wise, they have three of the deadliest shooters in Terrence Romeo, Don Trollano and Marcio Lassiter.

Of course, we do not need to talk about the point guard rotation because CJ Perez is still one of the top 3 PGs out there.

Knowing that SMC is still the one in control of the PBA. I hope they can see the positive effect of the Meralco championship.

I know that this is still a competition. But, the health of the league is also crucial. If San Miguel will enter the next tournament without acquiring a big name, I think the respect of the fans for SMB will be improved. And if they succeed in getting a championship, it will be much sweeter.
