The championship of Meralco proved the importance of bigman in winning the championship. We saw Meralco used four big bodies against Fajardo.
And it was what was needed to accomplish the job. So, any quality bigman out there is an important piece. That means, Vic Manuel is a crucial potential target for any team.
I am pretty sure you are already aware of the rumblings that he is looking to move on from San Miguel. It is up to SMB though if they will grant that wish. Now, Snow Badua said that independent teams are eyeing to have him. In my eyes, there are only three legit Independent teams. So, let us rank them.
#3 Rain or Shine
I do not think Rain or Shine will be interested to get a veteran because they already have veteran bigs and two young potential giants. They also plan to draft another one in this upcoming draft.
#2. Converge
Converge may consider but if their plan of drafting Justin Baltazar happened, then I do not think Manuel will have much of a role also in Converge.
#1. Phoenix
It will be a return for Vic Manuel but I think, it is the right fit. Manuel will provide that inside presence that will make Phoenix a more versatile team.
