PBA Import Rankings: NBA Veteran should be #1?

One of the most interesting thing to talk about during import conferences is the ranking of the imports. Here is our initial ranking of the imports!

#12. Taylor Johns of Northport
I am not really sure what Northport is doing here. He last played in the Indonesia Basketball League and his numbers are not even that great for an import.

#11. Tauras Jogela of San Miguel
It is hard to bet that a role player European player will dominate in the PBA. It is refreshing though that San Miguel decided to go with a role player type after their aggressiveness of getting high-caliber on-ball imports.

#10. Brandon Edwards of Terrafirma
I am quite confident that the first import to be replaced due to bad performance will be one of these bottom three. I wonder if Terrafirma has a lower budget this season than usual that they went for Brandon.

#9. Scotty Hopson of Converge
I have this feeling that Converge is being smart again. Hopson is not at the same level of their previous imports. Baltazar may not be available in the Governors Cup. If they tank this conference, that could be an assurance of another top 8 pick.

#8. Aaron Fuller of Rain or Shine
Fuller is a veteran import and he is actually dominant in his run in the PBA. But, with his age and reliance on his physical attributes, I am not confident that he will be a satisfying choice for coach Yeng.

#7. Myke Henry of NLEX
NLEX is known to come up with NBA veterans during import tournaments. Henry is not a #1 option type of import but he is very solid in his previous runs. Can he become more than that for NLEX? I am not sure.

#6. Jayveous McKinnis of Phoenix
Jayveous is not an NBA veteran but the guy is solid when you look at the numbers and his highlights. He is more of an inside operator. With bigman capable of stretching the floor in Phoenix, Jayveous can put up impressive numbers.

#5. Allen Durham of Meralco
I am not that confident that Durham is still the Hulk of the past. He is 36 years old now and we all know that father time always wins. He can prove me wrong but with more bigger players in the league, I will not count on it.

#4. Darius Days of TNT
I really considered him as the #4 but because of being younger, I decided to slide him at #3. Days is a power wing. He is very strong and he seems to have a long wingspan. I will not be shocked if he can put up impressive numbers because even imports may have a hard time defending him.

#3. Ricky Ledo of Blackwater
Ledo is a baller. A legit NBA veteran who will be allowed to control the offense of Blackwater. The question will be, can he develop enough chemistry with Sedrick Barefield and Troy Rosario?

#2. Justin Brownlee of Ginebra
Brownlee is not that young anymore but with his performance in Gilas and in his most recent PBA stint, he should still be here. But, with a bigger responsibility to carry the offense because of the departure of Standhardinger and injury of Thompson, Brownlee could be in for a rough tournament.

#1. Glenn Robinson III of Magnolia
GR3 should be at the top because of his NBA pedigree. His numbers in the 2023-2024 season of the G League shows a versatile wing. With his impressive athleticism and good three-point shooting, Magnolia fans can be confident believing that he can lead Magnolia to a crown.
