PBA Team Power Ranking: San Miguel's #1 challenger is?

As we move closer to the playoffs, it is time to again provide an updated power ranking! In this ranking, I already did not consider those who are eliminated.

#10. Northport
It seems like the management were hurt pretty bad about the farm team accusations against them. Will they finally get serious?

#9. NLEX
I am high about their upcoming import Dequan Jones. The only issue here is, can they really make a surprise run in the playoffs with limited chemistry with their import?

#8. Blackwater
George King and Sedrick Barefield is easily the most entertaining scoring duo in the league right now. I think, Blackwater has the ingredients to make some noise in the playoffs.

#7. Converge
Remember that Converge did not have that much improvement in their line-up so far because their draftees are not even yet in the line-up. In short, this is a plain organic improvement by the team. Or simply, they are trying to win now. So, imagine what Justin Baltazar can add to this team.

#6. Rain or Shine
They failed to pass their legitimacy test against San Miguel and Ginebra. Still though, Rain or Shine is a young team who can even improve further as the elimination round closes.

#5. Ginebra
That 49 points loss to San Miguel is devastating in all levels. I think coach Tim Cone is still the coach that can reverse the current trend of Ginebra but with Malonzo, Go and Gray still on the sideline, it is hard to trust them.

#4. Magnolia
I understand that a lot of fans are not trusting Magnolia to finish the job because of their failures in the past. But remember, Zav Lucero was not there in the past.

#3. Meralco
I am still not use to the winning consistency of Meralco Bolts. I think their championship hope this year is attached to the sustained performance of their import, Allen Durham.

#2. TNT
With the amazing production of Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, TNT looks like one of the most powerful line-up again. Can they carry their topnotch form deep into the playoffs?

#1. San Miguel
With their 49 points drubbing of Ginebra, there is no question now that San Miguel is clearly the favorite entering the playoffs.
