What makes the PBA a year long thing to talk about and discuss between friends is the ability of teams to make trades.
San Miguel Beermen fans are not happy with the way their Governors Cup ended but they can now crave for a trade to change their fortune.
Now, fans all saw the social media post of Arvin Tolentino hinting the possibility of a trade to San Miguel. So, let us try to predict the trade!
Realistic Trade Prediction:
SMB trade: Jeron Teng, Chriss Ross, Rodney Brondial, 1st round pick
Northport trade: Arvin Tolentino
Truth be told that this prediction is a little bit positive that San Miguel will be more vigilant in making a trade that is easier to defend as a fair one. Tolentino is a top 15 player in the league and they will use the success of Ross, name of Teng and the value of Brondial and that 1st round pick to make this look like a fair exchange.
Fair Trade:
SMB trade: Moala Tautuaa, Don Trollano, Chris Ross
Northport trade: Arvin Tolentino
I decided to not include the word prediction in this one because I do not think I should even expect a fair exchange between this two teams. Although, we still hope for one. Let me dissect the exchange.
I think Tautuaa should cover 40% of the value of Arvin. He is a top 10 center in the league. Trollano is now an underrated player once again but the guy is basically the smaller version of Tolentino. Although, Tolentino is twice more explosive in scoring. I think Don can cover 50% of Arvin's value. Then Ross will cover the final 10%.
