#12. Terrafirma Dyip
Juami Tiongson will start the tournament healthy. If San Miguel will not pick a seven-footer, Terrafirma will have the biggest import in this tournament.
#11. NLEX Road Warriors
Unfortunately for NLEX, Ed Davis went home. Now, they need to find a good import if they want to have a better run in this tournament.
#10. Phoenix Fuel Masters
Donovan Smith is an interesting import but I do not think he is a needle-mover. With the current make-up of the team, Phoenix should just continue with their path to the #1 pick of the next draft.
#9. Blackwater Bossing
The departure of Troy Rosario will be a big negative to the campaign of Blackwater. Their frontline is now an obvious weakness. Can Sedrick Barefield and George King, continue to carry them?
#8. Northport Batang Pier
Northport has a line-up that is stronger than the teams above but we all know that they have a ceiling that they may not even be allowed to break.
#7. Magnolia Hotshots
I am not sure why Magnolia is bringing back an old Ricardo Ratliffe. I am also not sure why they are not making a big acquisition.
#6. Rain or Shine Elasto Painters
Rain or Shine is a rising team in this league. I still want them though to consolidate some of their young guys into a star-level player.
#5. Converge FiberXers
Converge just made a great addition in Jordan Heading. With the arrival of the 4-point shot, Heading could be a monster in the PBA.
#4. Meralco Bolts
Akil Mitchell can be a monster in the PBA. He showed up like a monster in EASL. If he can be that Anthony Davis like figure for Meralco, they can be a dangerous team in the playoffs.
#3. San Miguel Beermen
Even though they still do not have an import, I think San Miguel is still a legit title contender. They are not changing coach but coach Jorge still have a clear path to championship.
#2. TNT Tropang Giga
I am actually intrigue to see if RHJ can actually carry TNT to another crown. If he can, then the throne of Brownlee as the GOAT import is really on jeopardy.
#1. Barangay Ginebra San Miguel
The arrival of Troy Rosario and the return of Jamie Malonzo will suddenly make the frontline of Ginebra the most loaded in the league. This is the reason why I decided to put them at the top.
