It seems unlikely that Barangay Ginebra, under head coach Tim Cone, would prioritize Mikey Williams. San Miguel Beermen are the clear front-runners in this rumor. Their aging guard rotation—composed of Chris Ross, Marcio Lassiter, Jericho Cruz, and Simon Enciso—makes them an ideal destination for a star like Mikey Williams. Ross, who shares a strong friendship with Williams, could play a role in integrating him into the team. Furthermore, Williams’ scoring and playmaking would perfectly complement San Miguel’s franchise cornerstone, June Mar Fajardo, allowing the Beermen to maintain their championship pedigree.
