Here is our final team power ranking for the year 2024. I can say that this is easily one of the most interesting ranking to end a year.
I only rank the top 10 already.
#10. Magnolia
Magnolia is on a down spiral and I think they are two losses away from failing to reach the playoffs. Regardless, they are still more deserving than the other choices for this spot.
#9. NLEX
NLEX is easily the team that can be underrated by PBA fans. Still, if you have Bolick in your disposal, you are a threat.
#8. Rain or Shine
Rain or Shine has a top 4 record and they easily have the deepest team in terms of quantity. Still though, I am not sure if they have enough talent to make a difference in the semifinals.
#7. Northport
Northport is currently at the top of the standings but history and their current roster tell us that they are not yet worthy of a top 6 placing.
#6. Converge
Converge can be a top 5 team soon. They have the depth, scoring and size to win against any team in the playoffs. It will be a question of their experience.
#5. San Miguel
San Miguel at #5 at the middle of the elimination round is not normal. But with what I have seen, I do not think they are playing well enough to be a top 4.
#4. Meralco
Even with their recent defeat against Converge, I still see them as a more viable contender than San Miguel. It can change as early as next next week.
#3. TNT
TNT struggled at the start of the tournament. They are not yet playing at their peak. Still, they have the make-up of a capable championship team.
#2. Barangay Ginebra
Ginebra deserves the top spot. I am not that sure though if Troy Rosario has enough chemistry with the team already when deep playoffs start.
#1. Hongkong Eastern
Still the best bet to win the crown. They have size and they have the depth. The only question mark for them is that they are playing in three leagues right now.
