PBA Analysis: TNT won game 6 versus Ginebra because?

Poy Erram Shines as TNT Forces Game 7 Against Ginebra

TNT refused to back down. The Tropang Giga forced a deciding Game 7 in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals with a hard-fought 87-83 victory over Barangay Ginebra on Wednesday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

After a tumultuous Game 5, where Poy Erram and head coach Chot Reyes had a heated sideline exchange, the veteran big man responded in the best way possible—by delivering when it mattered most.

Erram Steps Up Big Time

With TNT’s season on the line, Erram played one of his best games of the series. He came alive in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 of his 14 points during a crucial 9-0 run that gave the Tropang Giga the separation they needed.

More importantly, he kept his composure, knocking down clutch free throws to withstand Ginebra’s late-game rally. In front of a roaring 17,654 fans—the biggest PBA crowd in two seasons—Erram proved that when he plays with focus and intensity, he can be a game-changer.

Game 7: Can Erram Do It Again?

Despite this impressive win, Ginebra is still the more talented team. With Justin Brownlee, Scottie Thompson, and Japeth Aguilar leading the way, the Gin Kings remain the favorites. However, if Erram can replicate his Game 6 performance on Friday, Ginebra will be in trouble.

TNT has shown they can match Ginebra’s firepower when everyone is locked in—and if Erram plays at this level again, the Tropang Giga might just pull off the upset.

Game 7 is set. Who wants it more?
