In our usual top 10 free agents, we consider those who are also restricted free agent. For this edition, we will only consider the ones that are unrestricted. Again, if they are unrestricted, they can sign with any team.
#10. Mario Barasi - It is still shocking that Ginebra wasted the #1 pick in the 2nd round of the last year's draft for a rookie that they did not give any opportunity.
#9. Carl Bryan Cruz - He is only 34 years old and in the seasons that he played n the MPBL, he was clearly a top 15 player there. He is a 3-and-D forward and that is a type of player that is hard to find.
#8. Yousef Taha - A harder type of player to find is a tall center who can pass. Taha fits that mold but it will come with a lengthy injury-history and risk.
#7. Richard Escoto - Escoto is an undersize bigman that knows how to play basketball. I am not sure he can even develop into a 6th man but the guy can be a long-term bench piece.
#6. Sean Manganti - Manganti shot better than 34% in the last 3 PBA seasons that RealGM has data with. Sean is a forward who can shoot. That deserves another shot in the league.
#5. Raymar Jose - Meralco gave him a lot of years to be part of their bench because he is a hardworking undersize bigman. I think he can still be part of another bench.
#4. Bradwyn Guinto - I do not understand why Guinto is not in the PBA for this Governors Cup. He is a bona-fide traditional bigman who has the strength to handle the giants of the league.
#3. Vic Manuel - I know that Muscle Man is about to turn 40. But the guy is so skilled that he can still be an efficient scorer in the PBA in limited minutes.
#2. Matthew Daves - A legit 6'7 who is not slow-footed. That combination means he can be molded into something special if they give him the chance.
#1. Terrence Romeo - The signing of John Amores brought back the issue of Terrence failing to land a roster spot in the PBA. Terrence can still be a top 30 scorer in the league. And for that talent to be available in Unrestricted Free Agency is a crime.
