#13. Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson (TNT) - The coaching prowess that coach Chot is showing us right now for his injury-riddled team that may also have the worst performing import, deserves our respect. Rahlir is putting up 21.5 points, 33.3% FG and 11.5 rebounds per game.
#12. Cam Clark (XERS) - Cam is the new import of Converge and I am not sure the fit will be good because Cam is not much of a spacer. Nevertheless, he is a proven producer in the PBA.
#11. Antonio Hester (MER) - Hester is still that bully-ball type of import. He is currently averaging 22.8 points, 48% FG, 10.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
#10. Riley Grigsby (BGSM) - Remember the explosive debut of Riley? That is just a thing of the past now after the other teams scouted him. He is now producing 25.0 points, 41% FG, 8.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. Riley can do a lot of things but the guy has a -0.4 net rating right now. That is not a good sign for his overall impact on his team.
#9. Tirrell Brown (TIT) - It is really a hard decision to put Brown in this spot because the guy is producing 27.4 points, 53% FG, 10.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game, but I also need to put some weight in the records of the team and Titan is at the bottom right now.
#8. Justin Strings (DYIP) - Terrafirma is doing better than the Titan. So, I decided to put Justin at a higher rank. Just like Brown, String is putting up immense production. But, his current net rating is still -2.1. He is not much of a creator and his defense has a lot of holes.
#7. KJ Buffen (MAG) - Buffen has a boring playstyle and just a week ago, fans are calling for an import change. Now, KJ may have found a sweet role. He is averaging 25.7 points, 57% 3FG, 11.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. What KJ primarily bring is immense spacing. He is the most efficient three-point shooter right now with more than 4 attempts per game.
#6. Aaron Fuller (ROS) - Let us applaud Aaron for being one of the most consistent import in the Brownlee-era. His playing style has not change. He is still that hardworking inside operator who can help you in a lot of ways even if he is not dominating the ball.
#5. Dequan Jones (NLEX) - Jones number of 25.1 points, 49% FG, 7.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game is not comparable to the top 4 and even against Fuller. But NLEX is the #1 team and currently playing the most impressive basketball in the league. Jones is one of reasons for that.
#4. De'Vondre Perry (MGP) - Why is Perry in the top 4 when I decided Brown and Strings to be out of the top 7 primarily because of the record of their teams? Because in what I saw, Perry is the most impressive. He is averaging 33.3 points, 51% FG, 14.9 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game. Even with their 2-6 record, Perry has an incredible +5.8 net rating. His defense is also special.
#3. BJ Johnson (PHX) - BJ is not a glamorous import but if you watch him, you will see a complete guy. BJ has the 3rd highest Usage rate in the league and a Defensive Rating of sub-100. That means the offense of Phoenix flow through him and defensively, he is also a positive contributor.
#2. George King (SMB) - George is the #1 scorer of the tournament. That is very scary for all the other 12 teams. San Miguel found the top scorer when they already have the most talented local team.
#1. Kentrell Barkley (BWB) - He has an astounding +17.1 net rating. For him to do that in Blackwater speaks a lot about what he brings to the table. Blackwater is trying to reach the playoffs and I think they have the right import for the job.
